Creating a new event
Previous  Top  Next

To make a new event, one which has not been set up before, select the [New event] option on the main screen.

From the main screen [Event F2] click 'start a new event' and click [New] . The quick key command is [Ctrl-N].

Note the main menu item [File] [New] (or Ctrl-N) does the same thing. Generally all the options in the system are available from the main menu. Accessing the main menu is also possible using standard Windows keyboard access. [Alt][f][n] will also start a new event: notice the underline that appears once you press the [alt] key.

Note once you click the 'start new event' "bullet" the button next to it has a dark line around the key. This means that if you or press [enter] key on the keyboard that button is effectively "clicked".

NOTE: This allows you to define a new event manually. Typically you would [Import] the details of the event from an event already set up and scored in your scorer program.

An event is structured so that there is one or more sessions in the event. An event must have at least one session. Therefore the first step is to define the properties of the event.

Then choose the [2 Scores] tab.

Then choose [properties] for the session. Fill out the properties with the values that define the session of play.

Then load the scores from a file produced by your scorer.
